Refund and cancellation policy

The short version: cancel whenever you like, and if you change your mind in the first 14 days, you get all your money back.

1. Cancel whenever you like

A team owner can cancel from team settings: open Billing details, then Manage billing, which opens the billing page Stripe runs for us. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for, and then it simply does not renew. Cancelling never deletes your team or anything in it.

2. All your money back in the first 14 days

If you ask within 14 days of your team's first payment, monthly or yearly, we refund that payment in full and cancel the plan. You do not need to give a reason, and it works the same whether you bought as a business or for yourself. If you are a consumer in the European Union, this also covers your legal right to change your mind about a digital service within 14 days.

After those 14 days we do not refund payments, including the unused part of a period you cancel, unless the law says we must or the charge was our mistake, such as charging you twice.

3. Switching between monthly and yearly

Owners can switch at any time from Manage billing. Stripe credits the time you have not used yet and charges or credits the difference, so you only ever pay for what you get.

4. Deleting a team that pays

Deleting a team cancels its plan right away, and the rest of the period is not refunded. So if you are still inside your first 14 days, ask for your refund before you delete the team. Deleting your account also deletes any team where you are the only member, and that works the same way.

5. How to ask for a refund

Write to billing@penholder.app from the email address of a team owner, and tell us the team name and the date you paid. We reply within five working days.

The money goes back to the card that paid, through Stripe, or through Link if Link sold you the plan. Any tax you paid comes back with it. Your bank decides how long it takes to show up, usually 5 to 10 business days.

6. Before you dispute a charge

Please write to us before you go to your bank. A refund we agree to reaches you much faster than a dispute does.
