The things people ask first

The list is ordered, not scored, and a topic holds up to a hundred live items. A line marks what the team is actually doing, five by default, and the pen holder moves it. Below the line, anything untouched for thirty days ages out by itself, so the hundred is a ceiling nobody reaches by working normally.

When everyone can reorder, nobody does, and the order quietly stops being true. Everyone else suggests items and requests done on their work, and the pen holder decides. The pen hands over whole, never shared, and an owner can always take it back if somebody leaves.

No. The order is never computed: the pen holder decides it. A topic can carry up to twelve fields, such as Brings money? or a score, so everyone sees the same facts next to each item, and a tie between two items can name a new one. Fields inform the decision; they never make it.

Anything below the line that has not moved in thirty days ages out on its own. Nothing above the line ever expires; it shows its age instead, so something that has sat at the top untouched for weeks is visible as exactly that.

Ten projects, ten topics in each, a hundred live items in each topic, twelve fields on a topic and fifty suggestions waiting. Those are the edges of what one team holds at once, not a plan to upgrade from: reaching them usually means the work wants a second team, which costs the same again.

Up to a hundred, open invitations included, at the same price. One person can be on any number of teams, and each team pays for itself.

Their items stay, unassigned. If they held the pen it goes back to an owner, and if they were the only owner the longest-standing member becomes one. If the plan was on their card it runs to the end of the period they paid for and then stops renewing, so nobody is locked out by somebody else's resignation.

Yes. A team of one is a normal team: you hold the pen, the line still marks what you are actually doing, and the price is the same.

Up to ten, each in its own tab. Work and a side project can be open side by side without signing in and out.

Signing up is free, and so is joining a team. Each team is five dollars a month or fifty dollars a year, never per seat, whether the team is two people or a hundred. The pricing section has the rest.

The team stays open for five days while the card is retried, and everyone on it sees when that runs out. Update the card in billing and nothing is lost.

The subscription stops there and then, and the rest of the period you paid for waits as credit: the next team you make opens on it, free, until that day. Nothing renews it, so unused it simply runs out. Our refund policy covers the rest.

Any time. Every topic exports its items and its history as CSV from the topic page, the API returns everything as JSON, and your profile has a Your data button that downloads everything we hold about you in one file.

Twelve months of who changed what, deleted daily after that. The items themselves stay until you delete them, and a backup of everything is taken every day and kept for thirty.

None. No analytics, no advertising, no pixels, and the font is served from penholder.app, so opening a page does not tell anyone else you were here. The privacy policy says what we do keep, the data processing agreement is the contract for a company using it, and the sub-processors page names every company that touches any of it.

Yes. A personal API token acts as you, with exactly your access, and there is an MCP server so an AI assistant can read and change your lists the same way. The API docs have the calls, real examples and a Postman collection.
